Take control of your food allergy narrative.

For the food allergic, dining out at a restaurant or cafeteria can be an overwhelming experience. Making sure you are heard and understood is important to feeling safe when your are ordering your food. While giving good verbal communication about your allergies is important, having a consistent visible list of requirements sends a clear message.

What is an allergy “chef” card.

An allergy chef card is a printed card or paper that outlines the foods you need to avoid. It is an effective way to communicate your food allergy needs to a server or chef at restaurants and cafeterias or anywhere food is served. Having a food allergy card helps the restaurant remember your allergens, reducing the likelihood of mistakes in the order.

Thanks for communicating your food allergy needs! This will help our kitchen keep you as safe as possible!

The cards can be shown to food preparers, alerting them to the allergens you need to avoid and request that they avoid cross contamination in preparation. Explaining each item and it’s combination each time you or your child are at a food service facility can be challenging, having an allergy chef card helps to get right to the point and assists in conveying the importance and urgency of the allergy. Take out some of the stress and enjoy your meals, safely.

Tailor your needs with a custom card.

Not everyone has the same allergies and level of severity. Customizing your allergy card will provide you with dietary specifications tailored to your needs. This customized approach can give you an increased sense of confidence, knowing that your specific allergy needs are being catered to. You can also include emergency information, such as your name, date of birth and a phone number to contact in the event of an emergency.
