Making sure you are heard and understood is important to feeling safe when your are ordering your food. While giving good verbal communication about your allergies is important, having a consistent visible list of requirements sends a clear message.
What is an allergy “chef” card.
An allergy chef card is a printed card or paper that outlines the foods you need to avoid. It is an effective way to communicate your food allergy needs to a server or chef at restaurants and cafeterias or anywhere food is served. Having a food allergy card helps the restaurant remember your allergens, reducing the likelihood of mistakes in the order.
